Wow!! What a beautiful, busy, wonderful, special month July was, in particular Friday 31st July when my whole world aka Frankie – my treasure, my rock married the little treasure that is Sarah – what a few months build up to the big day, designing and making wedding jewellery for the brides and wedding jewellery for the guests.

Tiny little sterling silver teacup, saucer & plate with cake earrings for Frankie and matching bracelet with an additional bracelet of sterling silver and blush pink Swarovski, blush to match the colour of Frankie’s stunningly unusual, beautiful dress and two hearts, representing the love & union of Frankie & Sarah with a matching little ring which also matched Sarah’s.

I made the same bracelet and ring for Sarah but with ivory Swarovski to match her dress and a little sterling silver arm bangle for Frankie that looked fabulous.  I couldn’t have been more proud of my little girl wearing my jewellery on her big day xx I’ve never seen  a more radiantly joyous bundle of beauty xxx

I had fun making the little bitten biscuit rings and cufflinks for the guests & Father’s Of The Bride – Tony & Ricky xx

Quirky Wonderland of a Mad Hatters Tea Party at The Secret Garden, Mersham was the venue for the outdoors setting of this beautiful wedding.

Emotional Mother I was, so much so that I couldn’t read my speech to Frankie & the guests – one big regret of the day xx will find a way to share this – maybe on here xx

Happy New Year.  Heilala had the busiest Christmas  so far – thank you to everyone who supports me & my little business.   I am busy in my workshop making Valentines  Day  treasures  for customers – hand & fingerprint jewellery, hearts, hearts, hearts from the Love, Love, Love Collection and special custom orders and quirky little jewellery  presents fror wedding  guests who will be attending my daughter Frankie & Sarah’s Wedding  this summer.  Sketches are ready to turn into jewellery  for my new collection Serendipity which will be revealed shortly.  Heilala will be celebrating  3 years  of turning the passion of creating  beautiful  jewellery  into treasures & keepsakes for people to collect & stack up & keep forever.

Serendipity Collection  – Serendipity – the act of finding something special & unexpected when you are not looking for it.

Wanderlust  meaning –  a strong desire to travel & inspired by my love of travelling & nights spent gazing at the stars twinkling in the sky, brightening the darkness and that feeling wherever you wander stars may guide you. I decidend to incorporate sterling silver with semi-precious Labradorite with it’s earthy and changing night sky tones with the sparkle of stars said to offer protection & spiritual growth, creativity and good fortune.  Clear Crystal Quartz which has a moon like appearance  also offering protection.  I also added weathered White Agate with it’s unusual veiny appearance said to increase harmony & wisdom.   All these qualities needed in daily life and especially when travelling to different lands.   I couldn’t make my Wanderlust Collection without having engraved words from the zodiac i.e. Gemini,  onto hearts with the reverse of the heart showing qualities of the chosen Starsign, i.e. Balanced, Expressive, Imaginative. Wanderlust Collection has individual pieces that look great worn on their own or stacked high with the bracelets and rings.   I hope you love them as much as I do.

As the weather has still been warm for end of September/October I’m stacking my bracelets high up my wrists from all collections, but especially jewellery from my Love, Love, Love Collection which is timeless.

Coming Up

I am currently sketching out designs and looking at different semi-precious stones to incorporate into a Collection to take us from December through to February.  Have a wonderful Autumn.

In prep for my website launch I’ve taken myself off come rainstorm and sunshine to my garden & the beach with mobile phone in hand to message Khai who built it x thank you I couldn’t have been happier you’re a star and the busiest man of many talents I know x. I was delighted that Donna agreed to feature in photos Khai took big hugs thank you x. So with sketchbook, camera and fashion mags and sights sounds and dreams to inspire me I set about  creating unique collectable little jewellery treasures that I hope you too will love.  For me this is a joy; my absolute passion.  I look forward to you getting in touch and being part of my quirky free-spirited  little world  xx

Exciting building has been taking place of my new website thanks to Khai (Khai Smith Creative) who has taken all my quirky little requests on board and together with his creative flare built me a fabulous website that I’m extremely proud of that captures the bohemian, hippy, colourful feel I wanted.   I have spent many days and nights at the beach with just the sound of the sea for company & endless hours in my garden from dawn until dusk with fairylights & owls for company uploading my Shop.

In July I escaped to a quiet tiny little unspoilt part of Crete to take photographs of jewellery I made and continued to take orders from home for creation on my return & was grateful to my daughter Frankie for helping manage Heilala Jewellery during this time.

This is my first Blog and will Blog regularly here and on social media.
